The Macao Convention & Exhibition Association held the 2022 Macao Tertiary Institution Students Conference Challenge in June and there were 45 teams from different universities and colleges in Macao in this competition. Students including Wu Ziyue, Liang Zhanrui, Sheng Xuan and Zheng Shunyan from the Macau University of Science and Technology won the championship. The champion team represented Macao to participate in the “The 7th AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge” on November 24th, 2022 in and won the Best Team Effort Award.

There are 19 teams from China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan participating in the competition. After five hours of intense competition, the Macau University of Science and Technology team won the Best Team Effort Award.
The competition enables students to have a better understanding of the MICE industry operation and improves the team spirit by requiring students to produce a feasible business proposal with concerted efforts. Students also get the opportunity to put the theories that they have learned in school into practical business proposals. FHTM will continue to actively encourage students to participate in different kinds of practical events and competitions and cultivate talents that will know how to combine theoretical knowledge with practice in the future.
