The second "Macau Stories" Short Video Creation Contest was Held Successfully

The second "Macau Stories" Short Video Creation Contest organized by the FHTM at MUST was successfully held to mark the 24th anniversary of the university. The contest was co-organized by the Student Union of the FHTM. The final round and award ceremony took place at the MUST. The contest invited Dai Xingxin, the Director of the Lotus TV Program Department in Macau, Fu Tenglong, Vice President of the Macau Live Broadcasting Association and Dean of the Macau Digital Industry Research Institute, Wu Jing, Executive Director of Silu Media, Cao Shuang, Chairman of Vanilla Orchid Media, renowned host Li Ruoying, and Huang Ying, Assistant Professor at the Film School of the College of Humanities and Art, to serve as judges for the final round. Professor Ben K. Goh, Dean of FHTM, Professor Timothy Lee, Vice Dean, Associate Professor Wong Weng Chou, Assistant Dean Zhang Yang, Associate Professor Pan Su Ying, Assistant Professor Yang Chieh Yun, Assistant Professor Feng Yan, Assistant Professor Hong Fang, the organizer of the event, as well as many teachers and students from various colleges attended the ceremony.

Focusing on the cultural and historical stories of Macau, the main purpose of the "Macau Stories" Short Video Creation Contest was to showcase the changes of Macau over time, strengthen cultural identity and confidence, and enhance the influence of Macau's cultural heritage. The contest received short video entries from multiple faculty, including FHTM and so on. After more than two months of preparation, collection, and initial selection, 14 works were selected as finalists for the final round. In this event, students demonstrated their technical abilities in short video creation and their profound understanding of Macau's historical and cultural heritage. The insightful and professional comments from the judges greatly benefited the students.

The winners of the on-site selection in this contest are as follows: Gold Prize: "Macau Egg Tart," Silver Prize: "Dreaming in the Garden," Bronze Prize: "Coffee in Macau," Best Editing Award: "Rhythm of Macau," Most Popular Award: "Seeking the Beauty of Cultural Heritage," Best Story Award: "Me! The Century-Old Shrimp Paste!" Best Performance Award: "Colorful Macau." Additionally, seven works received Outstanding Awards. The "Macau Stories" Short Video Creation Contest aims to enhance students' practical abilities while promoting Macau's culture and brand, and fulfilling the responsibility and mission of supporting Macau's diversified development. As time plays its symphony and Macau returns to the embrace of the motherland, it continues to write its own story, and we are willing to pass on and continue more Macau stories.
