Dean Goh Kok Beng warmly welcomed Dr. Hailin Qu on behalf of all faculty and students. Dr. Hailin Qu first introduced the potential research direction of the "great health" industry in the future hotel and tourism industries. The US great health industry originated in 1963 and is the fifth largest industry after manufacturing, service, finance and insurance, and real estate. It is also the fastest-growing industry in the past decade, with a production value of up to 3.5 trillion USD, accounting for 8.8% of the GDP. Moreover, Dr. Hailin Qu emphasized that the integration of the medical and hotel industries is one of the trends for the future, as patients have higher demands for hospital services while receiving treatment.
Dr. Hailin Qu Gave a Lecture
During the Q&A session, students actively asked questions, and Dr. Hailin Qu patiently and specifically answered them. Through this lecture, the students at MUST gained a good understanding of how to integrate the medical and hotel industries and the concept of "great health," providing a certain direction for their future research directions and career development.
