The delegation led by Prof. Ben K. Goh, Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (F.H.T.M.) of the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.), visited four universities in South Korea and signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) on May 28, 2024. The delegation also included Vice Dean Timothy Lee and Assistant Dean Wong Weng Chou from F.H.T.M. visited Kyung Hee University, Dong-Eui University, Kyungsung University, and Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea.

The visit itinerary includes exchanges on teaching, scientific research and management with four universities, discussing cooperation intentions and conducting in-depth discussions on areas and topics of teaching and research cooperation. First, the delegation introduced the development history of the F.H.T.M., and shared experiences and information in areas such as teaching management, curriculum design, and professional skills training. At the same time, the two sides held discussions on the intention to cooperate in disciplines such as tourism management, hotel management, and catering management. Based on the actual development of higher education and tourism in Macau and South Korea, opinions were exchanged in areas such as research cooperation and student-teacher exchanges. The delegation also visited the teaching buildings, libraries, and professional skills training facilities of the four institutions. Finally, consensus was reached, and MOUs were signed with the four institutions on aspects such as student-teacher exchange visits, research cooperation, and teaching practice cooperation.
This visit has enhanced the reputation of the M.U.S.T. in overseas universities, deepened the connections and understanding between F.H.T.M. and South Korean higher education, which laid a good foundation for building long-term platform for teaching and research cooperation in the future.
