Year 4 Food and Beverage Management student Kuok Wai In participated in the "2024 Escoffier Young Talents Competition" organized by Escoffier Macau, under the guidance of Instructor Mary Judalee Ote and Teaching Technicians Arthur Huang and Paul Yang. In the end, Kuok Wai In stood out among many experienced competitors and won the championship. As the champion, he will represent Macau in a one-month training program in Singapore, after which he will participate in the Asian regional selection competition. The winner of that competition will then proceed to the final competition in France.

The competition lasted for 3 hours, during which the competitors were required to prepare three traditional French dishes based on recipes featured in the Escoffier culinary book. Kuok Wai In's dishes included "Subrics de foie gras", "Gigot d'agneau à la boulangère", and "Pommes à la royale".
Kuok Wai In has represented the university in culinary competitions multiple times and has received several awards. After the competition, he expressed that participating in this competition had deepened his understanding of professional knowledge in competitive settings. He sincerely thanked the university and the institute for their guidance, nurturing, and support.
