To provide students a more in-depth understanding of hotel management and related facilities, students of Rooms Management visited Galaxy Hotel, Banyan Tree Macau and Hotel Okura Macau on 6th April, 2022 under the leadership of Dr. Chau Shuk Mun. Through this visit and the detailed explanation provided by the organizers, the students gain a deeper understanding of different hotels’ styles and characteristics and their learning enthusiasm and interest in the hotel industry has been further improved.

Firstly, the students visited the suites in Banyan Tree Macau and got to know the characteristic – a separate swimming pool in each suite and the hotel’s handmade essential oil. Then, the students moved to the Presidential Suite of Galaxy Hotel and also visited the “Terrazza Italian Restaurant” which is located in the Galaxy Hotel. Lastly, the students visited the Presidential Suite of Hotel Okura Macau and the famous Japanese restaurant - "Yamazato Japanese Fine Dining". In the process, the students raised many interesting questions about the characteristics and operation of hotel suites and restaurants and got detailed answers from the organizers.

After the visit, the students expressed their sincere appreciation for this experience and said that they have learned a lot of knowledge that could not be obtained from the books and it can help them to combine the knowledge learned in the classes with practice better.
