After the Sea Cruises concluded, the faculty and students disembarked at Coloane Pier and were led by the fishermen to explore the traditional dwellings of Macau fishermen—stilt house along the coast. The Fishermen’s Mutual Help Association of Macau prepared the afternoon tea for the participants, during which the chairman of Fishermen’s Mutual Help Association of Macau Mr. Chan Ming Gam introduced “Saltwater Songs”, a dialectal folksong listed as one of Macau’s intangible heritages and the fishermen also performed “Saltwater Songs”. The participants had the pleasure of learning traditional fishing net weaving skills from local fishermen during a workshop, through which they reminisced the daily life of local fishermen in the past and absorbed Macau’s unique and diverse cultural aroma in a warm and lively manner.
