Exchange between FHTM and Directors of Wynn Palace and CEO of Neoma

In order to enhance the exchange opportunities between leaders from the information-technology circle in hotel industries and higher education institutions, Dr. Ming Kwan, Assistant Professor of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management invited Mr. Francois Chabaudie, the CEO of Neoma, Mr. Miguel Canavarro, Director of Information Technology of Wynn Palace, Mr. Panco Cheong, Director of Innovation, Design and Development of Wynn and Mr. Eric Ho, Senior IT Architect Manager Business Solutions of Wynn to share their opinions at the Forum “Role and Limits of Technology in Hotel Guest Journey” on October 10, 2019. FHTM students attended the forum.

Professor Ben K Goh, Dean of FHTM introduced the over-a-decade development of FHTM along with the history of MUST, pointing out that it has been FHTM’s educational direction to nurture more professional talents with broad horizon through exchanges with the industry.

Mr. Chabaudie, Mr. Canayarro, Mr. Cheong and Mr. Ho shared how technology can provide a consistent, seamless and continually improved experience for hotel guests. They recommended our students to be open-minded to embrace the technological changes and get well prepared for their future career development. At the end of the seminar, our freshmen raised questions actively to the guests who were happy to give their answers.

This event provides students a golden opportunity to learn from the industrial leaders about the latest trends of application of information technology in the hotel industry, further broadening their horizon and enriching their knowledge.
