Looking back on my academic journey from EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne, through The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, to the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) I am deeply moved by the realization that every milestone I have achieved is a testament to the dedicated cultivation of MUST and my mentors.
Guided by the university motto, "Integrity and Precision," I completed my doctoral studies with distinction. Throughout my PhD, I focused on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and hospitality, publishing several papers in top-tier journals and being honored with the Henry Fok Foundation Scholarship. These achievements were made possible by the university’s inclusive and supportive environment for cross-disciplinary innovation.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my supervisor, Associate Professor Penny Pan. Her role as both a mentor and a friend has been instrumental in helping me navigate the challenges of the academic path.
"Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish." My time at MUST is not the finish line, but a new beginning. I hope my fellow students will view our school as their own starting point, a place to continuously strive for self-improvement and to dedicate themselves to helping others.
I wish our school a future filled with prosperity and continued excellence!

Looking back, these five years unfold like a fast-moving film. At Macau University of Science and Technology, challenges were refined into capability through steady practice and continuous growth. As both a student and an educator, I have come to understand that persistence is not a slogan, but choosing again and again to turn anxiety into action. I am grateful to the Faculty and to Dr. Feng Yan’s guidance and support, which ensured that each attempt did not have to be faced alone, and gave me stronger confidence for what comes next. I am also thankful to my family and friends for their understanding and encouragement, helping me regain direction when I felt uncertain, and giving me strength when moments were difficult. May we carry passion and courage forward, and continue to walk toward our own answers.

My years at the MUST have been an academic pilgrimage from uncertainty to clarity. I am grateful to Associate Professor Juan Tang for her meticulous guidance over the years. Through the wrinkles of data and the cracks of literature, I gradually grasped a sense of scholarly practice—research, I realized, is ultimately the patience to hold onto a genuine question and wrestle with it relentlessly. Though I have yet to fully embody the spirit of “Sincerity, Integrity, Moral Cultivation, and Pursuit of Knowledge,” I have at least learned to face the world with an honest and undivided heart, and to seek truth with grounded steps. Wherever the path ahead may lead, this time will likely remain my inner anchor, the quiet strength that allows me to settle when restlessness arises. May the lamps of our alma mater continue to glow, lighting the way for those who journey onward in search of understanding.

My four years at FHTM at MUST have been one of the most meaningful journeys of my growth. I still remember how my hands trembled during my first class presentation, yet by the end of my studies, I was able to deliver complete project proposals with confidence. At the beginning, I often felt lost in theoretical concepts, but with the guidance of my professors, I gradually found my academic interests. This faculty has witnessed every hesitant step I took, as well as every small step forward.
I am deeply grateful to MUST for giving me the space to try, to make mistakes, and to grow. I also sincerely thank my professors and classmates for their constant support and encouragement. These years have not only equipped me with professional knowledge, but have also taught me to express myself with courage and to pursue what I care about with dedication.

Four years have passed in the blink of an eye, and it’s only at the moment of graduation that I truly realize how meaningful this journey has been. During these years, I’ve grown from a freshman who felt uncertain about the future into someone with a clearer sense of direction.
The experience here has been both challenging and supportive — pushing me to grow while still giving me the space to make mistakes. Looking back, the busy days, countless report revisions, and endless presentations have all become part of that growth. I believe MUST will continue to improve and inspire more outstanding students in the future.
