Turning back suddenly, I find time has slipped away like a fleeting shadow, while memories spark and swirl like constellations in my mind. Those mountains I once believed insurmountable now serve as stepping stones beneath my feet; those endless, seemingly interminable years have quietly slipped through my fingers like sand.

Four years of journeying leave me awash with reflections. My gratitude flows to every kind and wise mentor who expanded my understanding of hospitality with their profound knowledge; to every serendipitous friend who painted color and warmth onto life’s mundane canvas; and above all, to my family’s unwavering support and my own persistence—the forces that kept me true to myself.

Today, we close this chapter with a stroke of our pens, yet life’s examination paper knows no final submission. Whichever path you choose, walk it without regret, for all beauty lies beneath your feet.

The four years have flown by faster than I imagined. Looking back, the early morning classes, brainstorming in group projects, and the chaos during internships have all become the most vivid parts of my memory.

Thanks to the thoughtful guidance of my professors, I’ve learned to navigate this vibrant, ever-changing world with composure. Along the way, I’ve come to see that “independent thinking,” “staying curious,” and “adapting to change” are among the most valuable lessons in my growth.

As a new journey begins, I sincerely hope to move forward with my fellow graduates, embracing the future with hope, courage, and an enduring sense of purity and vitality.

Four years have passed in the blink of an eye. Looking back, I’ ve realized that those seemingly ordinary days quietly shaped the person I am today. At the Macau University of Science and Technology, my journey at FHTM took me from classroom learning to real-world projects, competitions, and field research. These experiences gradually built the confidence and resilience I carry with me now.

Studying in Macao—a city where East meets West—taught me to view the world with greater openness and to develop my lens for reflection. The local health industry inspired my competition projects, while the Historic Centre became the focus of my thesis. The people I used to pass by—tourists and residents—eventually became subjects of academic inquiry. From nervously presenting at my first conference to completing a full-length paper on Macao’ s cultural heritage, I’ ve grown in ways I never imagined.

I’ m deeply grateful to the professors and classmates who offered encouragement during moments of doubt and helped me move forward with strength. As we each embark on new journeys, may we remain curious, stay true to our passions, and face the road ahead with courage and purpose.

Life is a gamble. If you win, it’s luck. If you lose, it’s growth. Clearly, I have been one of the lucky ones. From vocational school to an undergraduate degree, and now a master’s, I was never born extraordinary. I simply never gave up. At MUST, I witnessed how effort is never in vain and learned how to stay grounded in a world that never stops moving. Someone once said that every challenge life presents is a bet you place on yourself. Now I finally understand that what we call fate is simply the decision to keep going, again and again, even when no one else believes in you. Thank you to my past self, and to every guiding hand along the way. May the road ahead always be one you choose with courage and walk without regret.

My academic journey at Macau University of Science and Technology has been a transformative path of self-cultivation. The thicker the books I’ve pored over, the more profoundly I recognize the imperative of lifelong learning. The longer the roads I’ve traversed, the clearer it becomes that life’s journey requires neither anxiety nor uncertainty—true success springs from daily, steadfast dedication. This is the life philosophy my doctoral pursuit has instilled in me.

Along this scholarly path, I am deeply indebted to Professor Jose Wong for his enlightened guidance and profoundly grateful for the nurturing academic ecosystem fostered by the institution.

In closing, may my mentors and peers forge fulfilling life paths, may my alma mater scale new heights of excellence, and may our mother nation flourish in enduring prosperity and vitality.
