To provide students a more in-depth understanding of hotel management and related facilities, students of Rooms Management visited Galaxy Hotel, Banyan Tree Macau and Hotel Okura Macau on 19th April, 2023 under the leadership of Dr. Chau Shuk Mun. Through this visit and the detailed explanation provided by the organizers, the students gain a deeper understanding of different hotels’ styles and characteristics and their learning enthusiasm and interest in the hotel industry has been further improved.

Firstly, the students visited the standard suites of Galaxy Hotel, introducing the design of the room and the services provided by the hotel. Then the students went to TERRAZZA Italian (the Michelin) restaurant. Next stop was Hotel Okura. The students were able to visit Okura's largest suite. Finally, the students visited the suites in Banyan Tree Macau and learned about the style and features of it. In the process, the students raised many interesting questions about the characteristics and operation of hotel suites and restaurants and got detailed answers from the organizers.

Through this hotel visit, students have gained a deeper understanding of Galaxy Hotel Group which consistis of luxury hotel brands and attentive guest services. The students expressed their sincere appreciation for this experience and said that they have learned a lot of knowledge that could not be obtained from the books and it can help them to combine the knowledge learned in the classes with practice better.
