A group of 5 teacher and students from Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (F.H.T.M.) of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) attended the 2nd World Smart Tourism Conference on July 9, 2024. The conference was held by College of Hotel and Tourism Management of Kyung Hee University in South Korea, with the theme “The Era of AI for Hospitality and Tourism.” During the conference, the participating students from F.H.T.M successfully completed the paper report, performed well, and actively participated in the discussion, and finally won the third place in the Best Research Paper Award.

College of Hotel and Tourism Management of Kyung Hee University has established a collaborative partnership with F.H.T.M in 2017 and has maintained exchanges in teaching, research and other aspects. Both parties jointly decided to co-host the 3rd World Conference on Smart Tourism in the first half of 2025. Therefore, Assistant Dean Zhang Yang delivered a brief introduction of the development and achievements of F.H.T.M at the closing session. Also demonstrated the style of Macao and F.H.T.M in a video and extended an invitation to participating scholars and students to attend the conference next year.
The active participation in this conference not only strengthened communication and collaboration with College of Hotel and Tourism Management of Kyung Hee University, and expanded international academic influence, but also created opportunities for students to broaden their academic horizons and enrich their professional knowledge.
