Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association Visited the Macau University of Science and Technology

Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) warmly received a delegation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Alumni Association on June 28, 2025 (Saturday). The delegation was led by Hu Weiwei, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of SJTU, alongside six representatives including Wang Yushen, Director of Development and Liaison Office  and Secretary-General of Foundation; Gu Xiyao, Director of Alumni Association Office and Secretary-General of Alumni Association, Li Yingying, Director of United Front Work Department Office, Cao Wei, Senior Staff Member of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, Ren Ziwen, Deputy Director of Liaison Service Division, Alumni Association Office. MUST was represented by Ms. Su, Hsiang Mei, Member of the University Council, Assistant Dean Wong Weng Chou of FHTM (concurrently President of SJTU Macao Alumni Association), Professor Li Liang of Faculty of Innovation Engineering, and Associate Professor Zhong Tian of Faculty of Medicine.

The delegation first visited the Macao Translational Medicine Center and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines, led by Ms. Su, Hsiang Mei. Subsequently, both parties held an exchange meeting and discussion at A501. During the meeting, Assistant Dean Wong introduced MUST’s development milestones, academic achievements, and international cooperation network, highlighting dual institutional ties: As President of SJTU Macao Alumni Association and a member of MUST’s management, he is committed to fostering deeper collaboration. Vice President Hu commended MUST’s accomplishments and emphasized SJTU’s strengths. Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on joint research initiatives, talent cultivation, and alumni network integration, agreeing to advance faculty-student exchanges and interdisciplinary collaboration projects.
