The event "Things Graduate Students MUST Know: “Reflecting on the Trends, Topics, and Tips in Hospitality and Tourism Research" hosted by the Student Union of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology will be held on November 5, 2025, in Room N319.

The event invited outstanding academic experts and award-winning scholars - Professor Edmund Goh, Assistant Dean of Research and Innovation at Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy, Les Roches, to be the keynote speakers. Professor Goh has over 20 years of experience in hospitality and tourism higher education. He has not only been ranks among the top 2% of researchers worldwide (2020–2025) by Stanford University and Elsevier, but has also earned multiple accolades, including the Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award, the Early Career Researcher Excellence Award, and the prestigious Heidi Sung Award from the International Society of Travel and Tourism Educators (ISTTE) for lifetime contributions to travel and tourism education. Professor Goh has published over 150 research outputs in journals and conferences, serving as the Associate Editor and member of editorial boards of several internationally leading journals. In addition, Professor Goh has secured more than AED 2 million in research funding and and contributed to over 50 media engagements worldwide, with his influence spread throughout global hospitality and tourism education and practice.
