I. Objectives and Requirements

Objectives
This competition aims to create an academic exchange platform for students, enhance their communication skills, and improve their techniques and abilities in academic presentations.

Overview
Participants are required to deliver a verbal presentation of a complete research topic within three minutes using a single static slide, addressing an audience and judges from diverse academic backgrounds. The competition is divided into three categories: Doctoral Students, Master's Students, and Undergraduate Students. The process includes a preliminary evaluation and a final round. During the preliminary stage, a judging panel composed of faculty members from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at MUST will review and assess the single slide submitted by each participant. Shortlisted candidates may refine their presentations based on the initial feedback before competing in the final round.

Competition Rules:

  1. The presentation must be delivered in English.

  2. The content may be based on published papers, research reports,      coursework, etc.

  3. Participants should use language that is accessible to a      non-specialist audience.

  4. The presentation must not exceed three minutes; exceeding the time      limit will result in disqualification.

  5. Only one static slide is permitted (no transitional slides).

  6. No additional electronic media (e.g., audio or video files) are      allowed.

  7. No props (e.g., costumes, musical instruments, equipment) may be      used.

  8. Presentations must be delivered in spoken word form (poetry, rap,      songs, etc., are not permitted).
