The 10th Cross-Strait, Hong Kong, and Macao College Students Vocational Skills Competition ended recently. In this competition, students from Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) demonstrated their top-level performance and achieved several honors, including one first prize, two second prizes, and one third prize. Among them, Yang Chengming (from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, FHTM) won the second prize in the Hotel Digital Operations Competition in the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan group. In this competition, contestants need to use hotel digital operation and management technology to make decisions and operate on a simulated hotel system. The content covers catering, financial, and human resources management, and others. After 6 hours of online simulation operation competition and defense, Yang Chengming gave full play to his knowledge and innovative thinking in the field of hotel digital operation. In the Tourism and Culture Advertising Design Competition, a cross-faculty team demonstrated their comprehensive strength by winning all the awards in the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan groups. Li Xinran (Faculty of Humanities and Arts, FA) won the first prize, Hong Ningxuan (Faculty of Humanities and Arts, FA) won the second prize, and Zhou Shizhe (Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, FHTM) won the third prize. This is an affirmation of the team's excellent cultural tourism concepts and advertising creativity.

This competition attracted 3,781 participating schools from across Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, including 1,342 undergraduate colleges and universities from mainland China, 1,911 vocational colleges, 350 secondary vocational schools, as well as 170 colleges and universities from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. A total of 8,680 students and 5,153 teachers participated in the finals, including 216 students from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, and 98 teachers. There were 36 participating universities in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Achievement Exhibition, with 425 works and 1,853 student creators. The participating students from Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) achieved excellent results and demonstrated their well-rounded skills, further highlighting our University’s ability to cultivate students' innovative spirit, practical skills, and collaboration. The participants stated that through the competition, they can increase their employment opportunities and overall literacy in various fields, promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration, and contribute to more outstanding accomplishments in the future.
