With the aim of providing students with a more in-depth understanding of hotel management and related services as well as job responsibilities, Rooms Management students visited The Londoner in Macau on March 16, 2022 with Dr. Salott Chau. During the visit, the students were given detailed explanations and answers by the hotel, which enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the management and processes of Londoner Hotel and increased their enthusiasm and interest in the hotel industry.
Firstly, the director introduced the history and basic information of Londoner, the hotels in the resort and the resort's landmarks such as Wonder Alley, Discovery Taxi and Fantasy Double Decker Bus, which were created for the changing needs of customers. Then the students visited the staff logistic area which is called Sands Town, visiting the staff reception, uniform room, staff restaurant, staff gym and other areas. After that, the students further visited the Windsor Suite, Louis Suite and standard guest rooms, introducing the characteristics of each room in detail and the various thoughtful services of Londoners, and creatively answering the students' questions related to hotel operation and strategic development with daily working experience. Later, the students went to the hotel reception and they are explained that the relevant work of the hotel concierge, and then moved to the hotel lobby to introduce the fountain, crystal palace, famous paintings, statues and their history and culture. Finally, students visited the overall unique facilities, operational processes and creative products of Churchill Restaurant. Students expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the visit.
The students of BITM had a valuable opportunity to get in touch with Londoner's operation services by visiting the hotel, enjoying the environment and facilities provided by Londoner Hotel, and having new and in-depth understanding of Londoner in Macau from the inside out. Students expressed their sincere gratitude to Londoner Hotel for providing them with this valuable learning opportunity!
