F.H.T.M of M.U.S.T. Hosted an "International Master Training Workshop"

Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (F.H.T.M.) of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) hosted an "International Master Training Workshop" on July 25, 2024. The workshop, titled "Can Tourism be Therapeutic? Interdisciplinary Research Design, Methods and Prospects", featured Associate Professor Danni Zheng from Fudan University's Department of Tourism as the keynote speaker. F.H.T.M. Assistant Dean Zhang Yang and nearly 100 faculty members and students attended the lecture, which received substantial support from the Macau SAR Government Education Fund.

The workshop focused on two main themes: "Tourism and Health" and "Digital Cultural Tourism," exploring topics such as the therapeutic effects of tourism, the integration of tourism and public health, and the development and application of digital cultural tourism. During the interactive session, participants engaged in lively discussions on journal publications and new wellness topics. Professor Zheng commended the students' innovative spirit, encouraging them to actively submit papers and boldly explore new theories.

This workshop not only exemplifies the close cooperation between Shanghai and Macau in education and scientific research but also responds to the Macau SAR Government and Central Government's call to develop wellness tourism and the greater health industry. It promotes the deep integration of tourism with health, digital technology, and other fields.
