MUST FHTM Held Distinguished Scholar Forum —— The Evolution of Opulence: Navigating the Future of Luxury

The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of the Macau University of Science and Technology successfully hosted an academic lecture on September 16, 2024, titled “The Evolution of Opulence: Navigating the Future of Luxury.” The distinguished guest speaker was Professor Ian Phau, Editor-in-Chief of the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics and John Curtin Distinguished Professor at the School of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business and Law, Curtin University, Australia. With his extensive academic expertise and rich industry experience, he provided the audience with profound insights into the future development of luxury goods. The lecture was attended by Dr. Wen Jun, Lecturer in Tourism and Service Marketing at the School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University, Prof. Timothy Lee, Vice Dean of FHTM, Assistant Dean and Associate Professor Zhang Yang, Program Director and Assistant Professor Yang Chieh-Yun, several other faculty members, and over 200 students.

Professor Phau's presentation was both detailed and insightful, providing attendees with valuable perspectives and inspiration regarding the luxury market.
