The “PATA Student Talk in Macau 2025” organized by the Macau Chapter Student Club of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), successfully concluded on February 28, 2025. Students from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) delivered outstanding performances, securing the championship, runner-up positions, and the popularity award. The contest aimed to enhance students’ English proficiency and tourism knowledge while promoting the integration of Macao’s tourism industry with international standards.

The competition attracted outstanding students from various higher education institutions in Macao. After intense competition, 12 finalists advanced to the final round. Among them, Shen Beiyi and Wang Yuxuan from MUST won the championship with their exceptional presentation skills and profound industry insights, while Li Yiwen and Li Ruizi earned the runner-up titles with their steady performances. Additionally, Shen Beiyi and Wang Yuxuan also claimed the popularity award for their engaging speech content and stage presence, making them double award winners.

The event was organized by the Macau Chapter Student Club of PATA and co-organized by the Macau Chapter of PATA. It actively responded to the Macao SAR Government Tourism Office’s policy outlines on “Sustainable Development” and “Talent Tourism.” Through a diverse exchange platform, the event aimed to continuously enhance the interest of members and university students majoring in tourism-related fields, inspiring their unique perspectives on Macao and the Greater Bay Area’s tourism industry. It further deepened their understanding of the development trends in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s tourism sector, laying a solid foundation for their future career development in Macao and the region.
During the event, young Macao students actively participated, freely expressing their ideas and engaging in in-depth exchanges and interactions with industry experts and scholars. This sparked countless innovative ideas and intellectual insights. Through this activity, the students not only broadened their horizons but also injected new vitality and momentum into the future development of Macao and the Greater Bay Area’s tourism industry.
