Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of MUST Visits East China Normal University to Promote Exchange and Cooperation

Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of the Macau University of Science and Technology, Dr. Jose Wong, was invited to visit East China Normal University from March 23 to 24, 2025, for academic reports and exchanges, aiming to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation in teaching, research, and student exchanges between the two universities.

Visit to the Business Analytics Experimental Teaching Center

On March 23, Dr. Wong visited the Business Analytics Experimental Teaching Center of East China Normal University, arranged by Associate Professor Luo Jiaqi, and engaged in an in-depth discussion on AI for Personal Knowledge Base Construction with Deputy Director Yao Zhanlei. Mr. Yao shared the university's cutting-edge technological applications and practical experiences in the field of business analytics, and both parties exchanged views on improving personal knowledge management efficiency using AI technology.

Assistant Dean Jose Wong delivers an academic report

On the morning of March 24, Dr. Jose Wong held talks with Professor Lian Yanling, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management, and Professor Wu Wenzhi, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism. They discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two institutions in undergraduate and graduate teaching exchange programs, research projects, and other areas, reaching a preliminary consensus on future cooperation directions and specific implementation details. In the afternoon, Dr. Wong delivered an academic report titled "Navigating Consumer Trends in the Smart Tourism Landscape" at the School of Economics and Management of East China Normal University, sharing research findings and practical experiences on consumer trends in the context of smart tourism with faculty and students.

Dr. Wong stated that the visit to East China Normal University was fruitful, not only deepening the understanding of the current state of teaching and research at mainland universities but also laying a solid foundation for further cooperation between the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of the University of Macau and East China Normal University. The faculty will continue to uphold the concept of international development, actively expanding cooperation and exchanges with universities both at home and abroad, and jointly advancing the development of tourism management disciplines.
