Hosted by the Student Union of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology, the Entrepreneurship & Community Service and Engagement Competition came to a successful conclusion on April 30, 2025. The competition aimed to develop and encourage entrepreneurial thinking among students and extend it to the community to those in need. This event offered students the opportunity to develop innovative business ideas and strategies, and to contribute their business profits to the community. With the guidance of Associate Professor Wong, Weng Cho, Associate Professor Pai, Chen Kuo, Assistant Professor Zhang, Yi Hang and Assistant Professor Yang, Chieh Yun, students formed teams to develop their business plans and implemented them on the second floor of Block O. A total of 7 teams with 43 students participated and the event kicked off on April 7, 2025. The participating student held a charity sale on the afternoons of April 7, 9, 14, and 16 on the second-floor platform of Block O. Approximately 1,340 teachers and students attended the event, generating about 15,000 Macau patacas in profits.
On April 30, 2025, the event was perfectly concluded by Dr. Yang, Chieh Yun of the FHTM at Macau University of Science and Technology, along with the Student Union representatives and representatives from the teams participating in the charity sale. The total amount of 15,000 Macau patacas was donated to Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired. The participating students deeply appreciated being able to contribute to the community, and they hope that the faculty will continue to organize such meaningful events in the future.
