On September 11th and 12th, 2025, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management successfully held the " Distinguished Scholar Forum of Hospitality and Tourism " series activity which included Academic Seminar and an Editor Workshop. This event specially invited Professor Metin Kozak from Kadir Has University in Turkey, an internationally renowned scholar. He gave special presentations on the themes of "From Benchmarks to Big Data: Personal Research Experiences" and " From Draft to Dissemination: The Art of Publishing Scholarly Research". The lecture was attended by Professor Ben K. Goh, Dean of F.H.T.M., Professor Timothy Lee, Vice Dean of F.H.T.M., Assistant Dean of F.H.T.M. and Associate Professor Zhang Yang, several other faculty members, and over 150 students. This seminar was sponsored by Macau Foundation.

Professor Metin Kozak currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Anatolia and is an editorial board member of over 20 academic journals. He was elected as the Fellow of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism, and International Academy of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research. Professor Metin Kozak’s research interests entail marketing and consumer behavior in an interdisciplinary context, with highly influential academic contributions. As of August 2025, his works have received over 9000 citations in WoS-referenced journals and over 30,000 citations counted by Google Scholar.

The lectures concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where Professor Kozak interacted actively with faculty and students, offering detailed insights into common challenges in academic writing. The sessions generated lively discussion and enthusiastic participation. The forum was supported by the Macao Foundation. In the future, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management will continue to invite leading experts to broaden the international perspective and professional knowledge of its faculty and students.
