Professor Jose Weng Chou Wong, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), was awarded the Best Reviewer Award of the Journal of Vacation Marketing in 2025 in recognition of his exceptional academic contributions. The latest SSCI Impact Factor of this journal reaches 5.0, ranking it as a Q1 journal. It is also classified as a Category A journal in the ABDC Journal List and recognized as a leading international academic journal in the field of tourism management.

The Journal of Vacation Marketing, published by SAGE Publications, is an authoritative academic journal that focuses on the field of vacation and tourism marketing. As a peer-reviewed quarterly publication, it is indexed in important databases such as SSCI and ranks at the forefront of academic influence in the field of tourism marketing. The core positioning of the journal is to concentrate on marketing theories, practices, and innovative research related to the vacation industry, covering core topics such as leisure vacations, tourism destination marketing, and tourist behavior. It aims to build a bridge for communication between academic research and industry application for tourism management scholars, industry practitioners, and policymakers.

Professor Jose Weng Chou Wong is the Assistant Dean and a PhD supervisor at the FHTM of the MUST. His primary research interests include smart tourism, risk management, and tourist experience. Over the past five years, Professor Wong has published more than 40 SSCI and SCI papers in well-known journals in the field of hospitality and tourism, such as Tourism Management (SSCI, Q1), Annals of Tourism Research (SSCI, Q1), and Journal of Travel Research (SSCI, Q1), among which three papers have been selected as ESI highly cited articles. He has also won two awards for outstanding social science research results from the Macao SAR Government received the university-level scientific research award twice. Currently, Professor Wong serves as an associate editor for several SSCI Q1 journals, including Humanities & Social Sciences Communications (SSCI, Q1), and is a member of the editorial boards of Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research (SSCI, Q1), Journal of Vacation Marketing (SSCI, Q1), and International Journal of Tourism Research (SSCI, Q1).
