On March 26, 2026, Dr. Feng Yan, Program Director of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology, led 21 students to visit Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club in Chang’an Town, Dongguan, Guangdong Province. The visit aimed to help students better learn club management through on-site observations at Camelot and explanations from relevant staff, thereby enhancing their overall competencies and professional skills.

The experiential learning programme was rich and varied. FHTM teacher and students toured key facilities including the restaurant, hotel, equestrian training grounds, stables and equine medical room. Through on‑site briefings by responsible staff, combined with field inspection and in‑depth exchanges, students gained a deeper understanding of Camelot’s development history, operating model, and membership rights and management. Notably, the club’s founder, Mr. Li Zhenqiang, is a core member of the national equestrian team; under his leadership, team members have achieved numerous excellent results in domestic and international competitions, and the gold‑ and silver‑medal teams at the 2025 National Games both came from Camelot.
Finally, under staff guidance, students watched an equestrian show jumping performance and participated in equestrian activities. This experiential learning activity gave the visiting teacher and students a more direct and in‑depth understanding of club management and operations, and helped students consolidate textbook knowledge, broaden their practical perspectives, and lay a foundation for future career planning.
