FHTM members Faculty Participate in APacCHRIE 2026 in Osaka, Japan

Members of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) have successfully completed their participation in APacCHRIE 2026 on 31 May 2026. Assistant Professor Dr. Amr Al-Ansi and Dr. Kim Heewon, together with FHTM postgraduate and undergraduate students, presented their works at the conference.

APacCHRIE 2026 was held at Future Plaza Conference Venue, Ritsumeikan Future Plaza, located on the Osaka-Ibaraki Campus of Ritsumeikan University, Osaka, Japan, from 28 to 31 May 2026. This year marked the first time APacCHRIE has been held in Japan, bringing together hospitality and tourism educators, researchers, industry practitioners, and students across the Asia-Pacific region. The event included both the 24th APacCHRIE Conference and the 17th APacCHRIE Youth Conference, under the theme “Futurizing Tourism and Hospitality: Embracing New Challenges and Innovation.”

In addition, Dr. Amr Al-Ansi and Kim Heewon participated by presenting and chairing sessions of the conference. Their involvement, alongside the strong participation of FHTM members and students, demonstrated a positive and meaningful engagement with this important international academic event.
