On July 28th 2026, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) signed strategic industry-academia-research MoUs with Jiangsu Jinling Culture and Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., Changzhou Jinling Hotel Management Co., Ltd., Changzhou Jinling Zhongwu Hotel Management Co., Ltd., and the Changzhou Culinary and Catering Industry Association in Changzhou, Jiangsu. The agreements aim to boost collaboration in culture, tourism and catering between Macao and Changzhou.

Dean Ben K. Goh signed on behalf of FHTM. Partner representatives included Chairman Su Gang, Deputy General Manager Qian Weikang, Deputy General Manager Zhou Jianhua, and Secretary-General Fu Xueping. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Director Wang Qing of Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Vice Chairman Li Fangping, Association President Chen Yonghua, Associate Professor Ye Xu, other organisation representatives and MUST students from Changzhou.
The partnership will align the Faculty’s talent and research strengths with the partners’ operational experience and industry networks to better link education, talent and industry. After the signing, participants exchanged views and commemorative gifts. The cooperation extends existing Jiangsu-Macao collaboration into tourism education, hotel management and culinary culture. It will help Macao learn from Changzhou’s heritage revitalisation and tourism operations, while giving Changzhou access to Macao’s international platform for talent development and cultural promotion. Moving forward, the parties will refine coordination mechanisms and turn the agreements into concrete outcomes, supporting Macao’s economic diversification and Changzhou’s culture-commerce-tourism integration.
