On November 29, 2024, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) successfully held the 2024 Thanksgiving Charity Dinner on the second-floor platform of Building O at MUST Campus. Nearly 100 FHTM students collaborated to meticulously plan this unforgettable event, which was warmly welcomed by guests from both inside and outside the university.
This year’s dinner incorporated a special charity component, raising funds by selling raffle tickets to students, faculty, and attendees, with proceeds donated to the Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society. This initiative promotes a spirit of solidarity and community service.

During the Thanksgiving Charity Dinner, Dean Ben K. Goh’s speech added a warm and grateful atmosphere to the event. He sincerely thanked the attending guests, praised the outstanding achievements of FHTM in education and academia, and expressed hope that the dinner would serve as an important platform for students to apply their learning and showcase their talents.

The dinner also specially invited Mr. Derek Chui, Director of Tung Sin Tong to accept donations, emphasizing that the organization has been committed to providing free services to the community since 1892. Their services include poverty alleviation, free medical assistance, free education, free childcare, elder care, and emergency rescue, with plans to further expand support for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Memorable Moment
On December 6, 2024, FHTM student representatives Lin Xihang and Wu Yanfei, guided by Assistant Professor Liu Yingni, visited the Tung Sin Tong to donate MOP 30,000, which was accepted by Mr. Derek Chui, Director of Tung Sin Tong. The successful hosting of this Thanksgiving Charity Dinner not only strengthened connections among students, faculty, and industry professionals but also brought positive energy to the community, allowing everyone to celebrate Thanksgiving together and extend love to those in need.
