FHTM Attend the Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited’s “Splendors of China Leadership Forum” at City of Dreams

On April 10, 2025, lecturer Pan Yu of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), led a group of graduate students to attend the “Splendors of China Leadership Forum Sharing the Spirits of NPC and CPPCC Two Sessions” at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in City of Dreams.

Since its launch in 2016, Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited has been positively influencing the community’s understanding of Chinese cultural heritage. It aims to promote patriotic feelings to the public through the “Glorious Motherland, Splendid China” National Conditions Forum and promote national conditions education in a multi-faceted manner. Melco Resorts & Entertainment invited Ho Sut Heng, member of the NPC and president of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; Member of the NPC and President of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, Ho Kevin King Lun; Lam Lon Wai, member of the CPPCC National Committee and member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; Ip Sio Kai, member of the CPPCC National Committee, member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau member of the Executive Council of Macau, and Lawrence Ho, member of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited attended the forum and shared the spirit and focus of the Third Session of the 14th National People’s Congress and the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

The meeting focused on conveying that policies and reforms are important guarantees for ensuring people’s livelihood promoting development and promoting a good start in the construction of including those aligned with major national strategies, building up security capacity in key areas, as well as the large-scale renewal of equipment and the trade-in of consumer goods. At the same time, we will coordinate the relationship between the promising government and the effective market and lay a good start for implementing high-quality “the Belt and Road Initiative.” The forum also pointed out that Macau should deeply understand and grasp the development direction and comprehensive consideration of “one country, two systems,” implement the system well, enter a new stage, and fulfill its responsibilities and tell Macau’s story well. Therefore, Macau’s moderate economic diversification has received strong support to better help it integrate into the overall development of the country.
