The 5-day Short-Term Program jointly organized by Macau University of Science and Technology and East China Normal University concluded successfully

In order to promote academic exchanges and professional discussions between teachers and students of the two universities and provide students with a platform to broaden their horizons and improve themselves, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Macau University of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Economics and Management of East China Normal University conducted a short-term program from April 21 to 25, 2025.

The program was rich in content, encompassing both theoretical learning and practical experience. On the first day of the program, the delegation from East China Normal University arrived in Macau, commencing the research tour. The following day marked the start of the core sessions. In the morning, Assistant Professor Amr Al-Ansi delivered a lecture on "Service Enterprise Strategic Management Innovation." After the opening ceremony in the afternoon, Professor Ben K. Goh, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, shared insights on the cutting-edge concept of "Service Enterprise Digital Transformation." In the evening, an exchange dinner was held at The Seasons, allowing students to immerse themselves in Macau culture through culinary delights.

On the third day, Assistant Professor Wang Shuo led the students in an in-depth analysis of consumer psychology in the session "Research on Chinese Consumer Behavior." In the afternoon business salon, faculty and students from both institutions engaged in interactive exchanges, sharing research findings and practical experiences. The corporate visit took them to Air Macau, where students gained a close look at its operational model and corporate culture.

On April 24, the students visited Wynn Resorts to gain further insights into resort management and operations. Upon returning to campus, under the guidance of Mr. Mathieu, the students immersed themselves in the culture of red wine and enhanced their appreciation skills. At the closing ceremony, faculty and students reviewed the learning content of the past few days and shared the outcomes of this study in a warm atmosphere.

This Short-Term Program enabled students from both institutions to spark new ideas through academic exchanges, broaden their international perspectives, and lay a solid foundation for their future academic research and career development.
