The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Macau University of Science and Technology successfully hosted an academic lecture on May 21, 2025, titled “CSR and ESG in the Hospitality: Concepts and Research”. The distinguished guest speaker was Professor Seoki Lee, Chair of the Sustainability Council at Pennsylvania State University and Professor of Hospitality Management. He delivered an in-depth discussion on the frameworks of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The lecture was attended by Professor Ben K. Goh, Dean of F.H.T.M., Professor Timothy Lee, Vice Dean of F.H.T.M., Assistant Dean of F.H.T.M. and Associate Professor Wong, Weng Chou, Assistant Dean of F.H.T.M. and Associate Professor Zhang, Yang and several other faculty members and students.

Professor Seoki Lee is an authoritative scholar in the international field of hospitality management. With over 15 years of research experience in sustainable development of the hospitality industry, corporate social responsibility, environmental and social governance, and strategic management, his academic achievements have been published in dozens of papers in top international journals such as Tourism Management and Annals of Tourism Research, and he has received multiple international academic awards.

Prof. Seoki Lee holds a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from Michigan State University, with his research areas focusing on sustainable investment models in the hospitality industry, the economic benefits of corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices, and industry policy analysis. He has long served as a sustainability consultant for multiple international hotel groups and industry organizations, actively promoting cross-sector collaboration between academia and industry. Professor Lee is particularly committed to sustainable investment models in the hospitality industry, the economic outcomes of CSR practices, and industry policy analysis. He is dedicated to driving the hospitality industry's transformation toward more inclusive sustainable development from multiple dimensions, including social responsibility and stakeholder perspectives.
