Professor Pan Su-Ying from FHTM Invited to Deliver Special Lecture and Academic Exchange in Taiwan

June 3, 2025, Professor Pan Su-Ying, Director of Graduate Programs at the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), was invited to the Graduate Institute of Human Resource Management at National Changhua University of Education (NCUE) in Taiwan for an academic lecture and exchange. The visit was warmly hosted by Associate Professor Huang Dun-Qun of the Institute, featuring in-depth academic communication with master’s and doctoral students.

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Pan first introduced the development history of MUST and FHTM to the attending faculty and students. She emphasized the Faculty’s educational characteristics of “being rooted in Macao with a global outlook,” along with its significant achievements in cultivating hospitality talents, advancing academic research, and serving regional industries.

In the academic sharing segment, Professor Pan focused on frontier research in hospitality and tourism human resources, sharing her research outcomes in human resource management for the hospitality and tourism industry. Combining empirical case studies, she analyzed challenges and opportunities facing human resource management in the current hospitality industry, particularly proposing innovative research perspectives on her specialized areas of leadership development and work-family issue.

During the interactive exchange session, attending faculty and students demonstrated strong interest in Macao’s unique East-West cultural environment, its vibrant tourism and MICE industry, and the academic opportunities at MUST’s FHTM. Both parties engaged in pleasant discussions on potential academic collaborations, student exchange programs, and industry internships. This exchange has not only deepened Taiwanese faculty and students’ understanding of MUST’s FHTM, but also built bridges for future collaboration in talent development and academic research.
