On July 4, 2025, a 26-member delegation from Central China Normal University (CCNU)’s School of Politics and International Relations visited Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and joined a specialized study program. The visit focused on exploring academic facilities and Macao’s latest cultural-tourism developments. Led by Professor Zhao Ningning at CCNU and Associate Professor Zhang Xian at CCNU, the delegation was warmly received by FHTM Assistant Dean Professor Wong Weng Chou and Assistant Professor Gou Rui.

The program featured a keynote lecture by Assistant Professor Gou Rui titled “Macao’s Cultural-Tourism Policy: Decoding the 2025 Policy Address.” Analyzing Macao’s latest Policy Address, the lecture examined strategies for deepening cultural-tourism integration under the “One Country, Two Systems” principle, discussed leveraging Macao’s unique heritage to enhance global influence, and highlighted the city’s role as a “China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Cultural Exchange Hub.”
The Students Study Cultural-tourism Policies
Delegates toured MUST History and Achievements Exhibition Hall before inspecting the FHTM’s state-of-the-art teaching facilities, including culinary laboratories. The immersion culminated in a Portuguese egg tart workshop where participants handcrafted Macao’s iconic pastry, experiencing firsthand the city’s East-West cultural fusion.
