The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST )successfully held the “N Possibilities of FHTM Students” sharing session on March 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM in room N214. The event brought together three outstanding alumni from various industries who returned to campus to share their career development journeys and life experiences, demonstrating the vast career possibilities available to hospitality and tourism graduates. The session was organized by FHTM, co-organized by the FHTM Alumni Association, FHTM Student Union, and FHTM Student Consultative Committee, with sponsorship from the Education Fund of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

During the sharing session, Mr. Harris Hao, a 2010 graduate of the Bachelor of International Tourism Management program and Co‑founder of Ai Er Wei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., shared his unique journey of transitioning from tourism management to smart technology product operations, illustrating how hospitality and tourism expertise can be applied to digital product development and operations. Dr. Shan Wang, a 2019 graduate of the PhD in Tourism Management program and currently Department Chair of the School of Management at Guangdong University of Education, explored the integration of academic research with industry practice, offering practical advice for students aspiring to pursue further studies. Ms. Monica Wang, a 2008 graduate of the Bachelor of International Tourism Management program, Director of Sales for North Asia at Kerzner International, and Vice Chairman of the FHTM Alumni Association, shared her hands‑on experience in hotel market development and regional management, as well as her extensive experience in diversified career development. Dr. Dengming Xie, a 2020 graduate of the PhD in Tourism Management program and currently a Lecturer at the School of International Tourism and Public Management at Hainan University, encouraged students with the message of “following one’s heart”, emphasizing the importance of making life choices and achieving self‑consistency.

The event featured vibrant interactions during the Q&A session, where students actively engaged with the alumni speakers on topics including career planning, industry trends, and professional development. This sharing session continued the successful tradition of the series, providing students with valuable face-to-face communication opportunities with outstanding alumni. Not only did it help broaden students’ perspectives, but it also inspired them to think more diversely about their future career paths. Following the event, many participants expressed that they had gained substantial benefits and developed clearer directions for their personal career planning.
