On October 20, 2026, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) attended the IBA World Cocktail Championship (WCC) 2026 at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Convention Center as a supporting partner. Organized by the International Bartenders Association (IBA), the WCC is the world’s longest-running and most influential global bartending competition. Competitors are representatives of national associations who have advanced through rigorous selection, earning the event the nickname the “Olympics of Bartending.” WCC 2026 brought together top bartending talent from countries and regions worldwide, who competed in the Classic and Flair categories. With exceptional skills, creative recipes, and stage presence, the participants delivered an international showcase that blended technique, artistry, and culture.
This participation reflects FHTM’s enduring commitment to experiential education. Leveraging Macau’s position as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, the Faculty continues to integrate classroom learning with high-level international industry events. Moving forward, FHTM will further expand exchanges and collaboration with relevant international institutions, providing students with more high-level hands-on opportunities and cultivating hospitality and tourism talent with global vision, professional competence, and cultural empathy.
