The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) convened its annual Advisory Board Meeting on June 11, 2025, at Venue R104. The session was attended by Professor Ben K. During the meeting, Dean Dr. Ben Goh highlighted FHTM’s mission to cultivate industry leaders through innovative education. Significant developments included a surge in culinary arts interest prompting expanded professional development opportunities, alongside the launch of new AI-focused graduate programs. Research achievements were underscored by a record annual output of over 130 publications, with 54 appearing in Q1 journals.

Key 2025 initiatives focus on enhancing global engagement through student exchanges and conferences like the upcoming IECR 2026 at MGM, modernizing curricula with AI integration, and pursuing TedQual accreditation. The Advisory Board called on industry partners to support student development through sponsorships and recruitment. Challenges including talent recruitment barriers were addressed through collaborative solutions. The next meeting is scheduled for Q1 2026.
